SOFIA NECCHI SCORED A GREAT TOP 10 AT THE DUBAI O PLATE 2019.

It has been a very intense and dramatic week end for the young CRG Middle East lady Sofia Necchi at the 2019 O Plate held at Dubai Kartdrome this weekend. The italian driver showed immediately a great pace during the free practice sessions setting an amazing 3rd best lap overall in the 4th free practice session just half tenth behind the leader. In the qualy session she’s got an 8th spot overall but later on the bad luck pulled her far from the top position. Three racing contacts during the three heats ruined her ambitions and forced the CRG driver to start the Pre Final from the 9th row of the starting grid. In the Pre Final Sofia had a very good start moving immediately in 13th place before suffering once again a racing contact which pulled her back to 14th place overall. In the Final Sofia performed very well starting again very well and getting the 10th position overall under the chequered flag, stopping the time keeping just one tenth slower than the best lap time of the winner Rinicella. The final result wasn’t matching with the potential of the “flying” lady but proved, once more, her speed and racing attitude.

Sofia Necchi:Friday afternoon I was very pissed off beacuse it doesn’t make sense to ruin a complate racing week end for a bad behaviour of a driver. In the cadet category many drivers have almost the same pace so for me has been extremely tough to comeback from the back rows of the grid. I trid all my best to overtake as much drivers as possible and the 10th position definately is not too bad.”

Sofia Necchi will strat now training for the next round of the IAME Series which wll take place the 16th of February at Al Forsan (Abu Dhabi).
