05 Feb I made it… onto the podium!!
In my second DD2 race at the Al Ain circuit, I achieved my first podium of the season. In the Pre-Final, I finished in third position thanks to the incredible work of the entire team. It was a very positive weekend from the start, and with my mechanic, we worked to get the best out of my chassis and engine. After securing fifth position in the Heat, I tried my best in the Pre-Final despite a less than perfect start. In the Final, following another less than stellar start due to the engine struggling to get going, I managed to gain positions and once again finish in P5, although lap times showed that we could have fought for the podium again. Nevertheless, I am very pleased, and now we’ll see each other at YAS Marina in two weeks.
